MMS - CFR Collection

Description:
MMS - CFR Collection contains more than 40 documents.

The Minerals Management Service (MMS) is a branch of the US Department of Interior that governs oil operations in US waters on the Outer Continental Shelf. The MMS References Collection includes all rules and regulations from the MMS, Department of the Interior, (30 CFR 250 through 30 CFR 282) and the industry standards incorporated by reference (including: API, ASTM, ASME, AWS and NACE). All references in the MMS rules and regulations are hot-linked for instant full-text access to the document.

The Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) Lands Act gives MMS the responsibility of permitting and inspecting offshore oil and gas operations including:

  • exploration/development/production plans
  • pollution prevention and control
  • oil and gas drilling operations
  • oil and gas well-completion operations
  • oil and gas well-workover operations
  • abandonment of wells
  • oil and gas production safety systems
  • floating and stationary platforms and structures
  • pipelines and pipeline rights-of-way
  • oil and gas production rates
  • oil and gas production measurement, surface commingling and security
  • sulphur operations

With increased enforcement actions by MMS, engineers, compliance personnel and regulatory management personnel are using the MMS References Collection from IHS to ensure compliance. The MMS References Collection is available online with daily updates of all Title 30 "final rules" published in the Federal Register.

Online Access - Subscribers get secure online access to search, view, bookmark, track, and print documents according to the license agreement. Online documents are updated daily. Multiple users can share a single license. You also get access to IHS Standards bibliographic data – more than 1 Million documents.

Individual Documents - IHS sell individual documents through the IHS Store in electronic or hard copy formats. Statistics show that 1 out of every 5 people who purchase individual documents would benefit from an online subscription. You should consider a collection over individual document purchases if your company buys more than $3,000 in standards per year.
